This 1960s home was reimagined for a young family, balancing functionality and style. The renovation included expanding the footprint and adding modern amenities, creating a space that suits their active lifestyle while maintaining a classic-contemporary charm.

To modernise the home, the original colonial-style windows were replaced with crittall-style double glazing, offering a sleek aesthetic and improved energy efficiency.

Wide planks of engineered oak flooring were installed throughout, lending a timeless yet contemporary look, while the bedrooms were fitted with carpet for added comfort.

The living room was enhanced by retaining the existing fireplace, which is now flanked by custom cabinetry and shelving that houses a bar fridge for convenience. Alongside the entrance, there is now a wall of storage that incorporates a desk area and space for shoes, coats, and canine paraphernalia.
